About Your Trainer
Matt Episcopo knows that the real way to become effective at law enforcement is to build trust, credibility and master the art and science of communication.
Captain Episcopo, (Ret.) is an expert in Interview and Interrogation. As a Certified Police Instructor, he is highly regarded for his Interview and Interrogation, Death Investigations and Supervisory/Leadership Courses.
A visionary, Captain Episcopo set precedence in his agency by forming the first Criminal Investigative Unit, the first Narcotics K9 Unit, Voice Stress Analyzer Program and many other efforts as he rose through the ranks.
In recognition of his contributions, Captain Episcopo has served on DMORT: Disaster Mortuary Operations Response Team, and was deployed to Hurricanes Katrina & Rita and the Flight 3407 crash.
In addition, Captain Episcopo served on a Federal Biometrics Technology Work Group. He is Certified in Scientific Content Analysis (SCAN), Certified Examiner – Voice Stress Analyst and Criminal Investigative Analysis.
Since his retirement, Captain Episcopo has expanded his repertoire of teaching others as a Keynote speaker; training corporate and association groups in communication and leadership topics all around the world. He is a featured TEDx speaker and the author of the book "How To Gain The Upper Hand, P.O.W.E.R. Tactics That Get Leaders Results".
Honors include the Medal of Honor, Meritorious Service, Gallantry Star for Bravery and numerous other awards and citations. With more than 21 years of law enforcement experience, and 30 years of instructing local, state and federal personnel, Captain Episcopo will teach you the art and science of interview and interrogation.

How does this work?
A- Your agency hosts the training and invites external agencies to participate.
B- Your agency hosts the training for your members only. We provide a fixed rate based on group size. (Best for large agencies)
As host, you will receive a set number of free seats for hosting!!!
The host agency provides the training facility, laptop-compatible projector or TV monitor, projection screen, and audio system.
This is a terrific opportunity for all agencies to provide their officers and investigators with the finest law enforcement training available without the added expenses including travel, and lodging.
How much does it cost to attend the 2-day live training?
Only $300 per student! We keep the price low so more people can attend.
(Host agencies will receive a set number of free seats for hosting!)
Will I receive a certificate for this training?
Yes, all attendees will receive a certificate for their training records upon successful completion of the course.
They will also receive resource material that supports the training which they can refer to as they move forward through their career.
What is the minimum number of attendees for an agency to host a class?
10 paid attendees is the minimum number for your agency to host the course if you are within 200 miles of Albany NY.
15 paid attendees is the minimum number for your agency to host the course if you are more than 200 miles from Albany NY.
When your agency gets the minimum number of required paid attendees, you will then receive your free seats.
